Thankyou

It has now been 2 days since dad's funeral.  What an amazing day that was.  Thankyou all for such a special day.  I have been to a few funerals in my life, and I found them to be very sad occassions.  Even though dad's funeral was very sad, it was a beautiful celebration of his life.  I do feel that the event gave me some sort of comfort.  It is really amazing how many lives he touched, and in such positive, life-changing ways.  We had granny and the extended mclennan family listening via phone and getting photos via text message.  We had so many lovely people there, including the koch family, the ross family etc.  So thankyou to all that attended, that send flowers, cards and donations to the fellowship that will carry dad's name.  I think dad would have found his funeral very beautiful.  I know I did.  Thankyou

I am not sure now what direction to have this blog go.  Do we keep putting put posts relating to dad's impact in peoples lives, research, the fellowship etc, or do we shut it down.  I guess that is more up to the followers really.  So if you would like to add a post to this blog...about anything really, feel free to send it to me at becancam@yahoo.com, and I will post it.  For now, make sure when ya think of dad, you smile

  1. Although my time with Dr. McLennan was limited, his impact was great. I was fortunate to be able to care for him during his last moments of life and the knowledge he gave me years ago as I started my nursing profession continues to impact my career today. Thank you for sharing him for so many years with so many people. God bless you all.

  2. Hi Chris, Bec, Cam, Delcan, Ben, Rebecca, Sam and Kate! I just wanted to let you know that you are all still in our thoughts and prayers. The service for Geoff was beautiful and although it was very difficult to say good bye, I still very much feel the presence of Geoff in my life. He was and will continue to be an influence on me and all that I work to achieve. I will always remember and keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Janet Keating
