Dad is now sleeping peacefully and probably will not wake up. He never viewed his life with cancer as a battle. But whatever you want to call what he has been through is now over and he can sleep peacefully until his last breath.
I miss you. I wish I was there with you now. You and Christine were like my parents when I lived in Iowa City. I will never forget golfing with you on Finkbine, your wisdom, and the lovely Xmas dinner. My wife Cristina, my dad and mom wish you peace and love. See you one day.
Dear Doctor McLennan, I hope that you are at peace and no longer feel any pain. You were a beautiful person with such a positive spirit and loving heart. I am honored to have worked with you and I thank you for all that you taught me when we reviewed scans together at VIDA. We will all miss you very much. I hope that you have the opportunity to meet my mother, she also had a long battle with cancer. I promise you both that I will continue to work hard in health care because it is having loved the strong people like you that makes you realize how important it is to continue to work hard in the fields of medicine and technology so that some day, hopefully not too far in the future, less people will have to suffer. Please watch over the ones that love you the most so that they can stay strong. Love Lisa
Dear Mr McLennan, We're not sure if you can hear this but we just wanted you to know that we're thinking of you and hoping you're comfortable and resting peacefully, surrounded by your lovely family. We are grateful, and blessed, for the time we had with you on your last visit to Adelaide. We have all been thinking of you and know that we'll see you again one day. Our thoughts go out to the McLennan family and we all wish we could be there to support them. We will miss you and wish you well over the next few days. Love Verity, Paul, Marie, SImone and Nick Edwards, along with Nigel, MIchelle, Steve and kids Oscar, Louis, Isaac and Mayah.
