Wednesday -a busy day.  Slept moderately well, work with no cough or trouble breathing - the effect of the dexamethasone.  Could be working on bulk cancer, or maybe some asthma.  Felt good.  Hospice nurse came - needed to collect sputum for culture  -someone came to pick that up.  Visit from Rebecca (Bens wife), which was much appreciated.  Chuck Dayton visited for a chat at around 3.00pm.  Jeff Palmer brought around my in-progress remodelled leg - almost right but not quite, so will see him again tomorrow am.   Lot of back pain in afternoon.  Ray Hohl visited late afternoon, and we are going to have a look see CT scan either Thursday or Friday.  Hemaglobin likely low so will check that at the same time.  Maybe transfuse.
Still cant find the perfect right food to eat.
Allan and Mary-Beth Ross visited in the evening - always nice to see them also.

  1. Hi Geoff and Chris! I am very happy to see that Mary and I made it onto the Blog! I am also happy that there is a new radiation therapy plan for your breathing. I have had an interesting day/night in the operating rooms. We just finished a single lung transplant at about 6 AM. But yesterday, the entire operating room staff was awarded two pieces of pizza each because we did so many cases last year. Pretty satisfying! Talk with you soon. Alan

  2. Howdy Geoff (Hello Chris).
    Glad to see this blog.
Only on the internet a short while at night in Italy since signal is weak and I have to sit in the hall to get onto the internet.
Thinking of you often and now have a way to keep in touch by reading this blog.
    Keep that airway open!
Elie and I rented Segways in Florence and rode them around the historic district. Worked well even in crowds and Elie did great! We of course invisioned you right by our side (or probably out in front).
Wow, mowing the lawn. That's impressive.
Wish I could magically transfer back to Iowa City for some late evening discussions.

Hello from Elie and Kay. All my best.
    Eric
